Yesterday I visited the MiH Jeans Studio to view the Autumn Winter 14 Collection, originally built as a Victorian schoolhouse and now the perfect backdrop to MiH’s ever growing empire and brother brand Jean Machine. It’s no secret that MiH Jean’s are one of my top 3 denim brands so seeing how the collection has evolved from a small denim brand to a lifestyle brand is like watching a distant friends child grow- up.
It has to be a good collection to make me wish the Summer was behind us and all my favourites such as The Marrakesh, Paris and Ellsworth were present. Reworked in new technology fabrics, washes, sitting in-between chunky knits and sheer shirting. The collection feels like a well edited boutique where denim takes center stage and all the pieces work together to give this effortless, elegant way of dressing. What’s next a MiH Jean Store?
NEW DENIM IN THE COLLECTION:
Look forward to meeting the Manchester Jean, a new addition to MiH Jeans soon available in the Pre-AW14 Collection. The Manchester is an oversized boyfriend that sits low on the hips with a loose straight leg.
The boyfriend’s Phoebe Slim and the Tomboy return in grey and in coated black. The Bonn and Marrakesh in three shades of velvet, Paloma Grey, Forest and Blue 3.
The Bodycon evolution continues with three new fits, the Bodycon Zipper skirt, the Bodycon 5 pocket and the Bodycon Flare all promising to slim and smooth your body like a second skin! (sizes 24 to 32).
MY MiH JEANS AW14 LUST LIST:
Here’s the pieces I’m coveting for AW14 so far. ( I keep adding to the list). Top right to left, Poncho stripe, North sweater, Chevron leather biker jacket. Bottom left to right, Marrakesh Bowie, Ellsworth bared wire, Ellsworth burnt grunge.
THE MiH JEANS STUDIO:
The 7,500 sq.ft space consist of an open plan office space, two showrooms, a kitchen and bar, conference room, photography studio, wash development room and a design studio with no computers!
